I have been making custom clothing and costume for the last 18
years. This started as my family had a clothing business when I was
young and I got the bug from there. As I was an awkward figure I
could never find clothes that would fit well and started to create
clothing for myself, and then others.
Over the years I have trained with Michelle Pye whose extensive
experience in the tailoring and couture trade has earned her a place
in the Guild of Master Craftsman, and Terry Fox, not only an
independent designer in her own right, she has worked with top
designers like Zandra Rhodes.
Under their watchful eye I have learned couture techniques as used
in the top fashion houses, and tailoring techniques taken from
Jermyn Street and Saville Row itself.
These skills and techniques mixed with my love of Gothic and
Alternative clothing, add a passion for historical costuming and the
fun of Live Role Playing, Absinthe’s Kiss was born. |
